FUNDAMENTAL OBJECTIVES:
To certify, recertify, transfer and / or change family files to maintain eligibility of all participants under the direction of the Case Management Supervisor. This position requires an understanding of SDE/CDD Funding Terms and Conditions and the ability to apply this knowledge. To assist the Case Management Staff in the processing and completion of client files and to assist with the overflow of clients and paperwork.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. To always be available to meet the needs of families served.
2. Will see walk-in clients.
3. Meet with new providers to review and receive the Licensed Exempt Provider Packet.
4. Address correspondence only documents from clients on a daily basis
5. Process ‘return mail’ per the Agency’s return mail procedure.
6. Process client Change of Address forms and request verification of residency.
7. Receive ‘Out of Compliance’ files from Case Managers and either:
– Issue a ‘Thank You All’ letter if paperwork has been received by the compliance date.
– If paperwork is outstanding, issue a courtesy reminder notice to parent with a copy of the original Notice of Compliance.
– Process termination of coverage for families who fail to comply with Notice of Compliance.
8. Demonstrate the ability to address the needs and concerns of parents by empathizing appropriately and making referrals as needed.
9. Will perform described duties within agency policies as well as within the guidelines and regulations of funding sources.
10. Will perform any additional duties as deemed necessary by Administrative Staff.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Regular and daily attendance.
2. Detail oriented and able to implement eligibility criteria changes timely and accurately.
3. Be flexible.
4. Must have adequate physical strength to frequently move and sit and stand periodically.
5. Able to effectively and clearly communicate with supervisor and coworkers.
6. Time management and strong organizational skills.
7. The ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
8. Work with the public using appropriate customer service skills.
9. Work independently with minimal direction or as a team when necessary.
10. Must be able to work on routine assignments that require good judgment.
11. Able to read, interpret and apply State regulations on a case-by-case basis.
12. This position requires a self-starter. Credentials not required. Education: Sufficient to meet agency requirements. Experience: Computer skills required and at least two years of experience with state subsidized programs or specific courses related to the social services field.

SALARY RANGE:
Based on background experience and education in State/Federal programs.
